I think that post is a little extreme but Trump has said he will “run for a third term” and as recently as today Bannon said, on camera, that Trump would be president again in 2028. Pretty disturbing stuff.

The off ramp is when the Rs feel enough pressure from ACA premiums, TSA issues, no SNAP benefits, etc., and decide to negotiate. It sucks, but the Ds can’t give in.
