I’m an exec - I’ve lost 20 since May - 5’8 - started 174 and am now 154. The only people who’ve gotten nosy were my dental hygienist and my tennis coach. The hygienist could not drop it - I blew her off initially - and she interrupted my cleaning to ask again how I did it - I shrugged and said weight lifting and protein- lots of cottage cheese. I mean it’s just none of her effing business.
No one at work has said anything - I think because most people inherently know not to comment on anyone else’s body.
My personal trainer hasn’t even said anything and he’s literally looking at my body as I lift.

Anyway - my six best friends are all on it- two from grad school - two from work - two from college. We are all so much healthier. My labs look much better and my waist circumference is down 5 inches. My visceral fat has dropped to the normal range. I am so happy to be turning the corner towards 50 much healthier. I’m trying to get my waist under 35 inches per my doctor so prob have like 10 more to go.

Also I have been working w an obesity medicine doctor to do this the right way and we tried lifestyle changes and three different oral medications over 18 months before finally doing zepbound. At crazy exercise and 1100 calories a day I still couldn’t lose - zepbound I lose about a point a week and it’s been much easier

Tell the truth. Otherwise you seem insecure and it’s obvious anyway.

I posted above. And for the record you don’t owe us an explanation on how you lost weight. Like I said we already know. It’s obvious. No one is going to ask.

I've been on GLP-1 since May 2024 and have lost about 35 pounds overall. Started at 185 and now I'm 150, which was my goal. In the last month or so suddenly alot of people are commenting on my weight loss, with many of them asking how I did it, and I HATE it. I have told some friends (and of course my husband and sisters) but the ones who are asking me are acquaintances who are a) big gossips and b) very very thin and aren't asking for advice, just for gossip. Maybe I'm being too sensitive but it is the one downside of losing this way. I've been dodging the question and just looking sort of confusedly at them like "um... eating less and doing lots of power yoga?"

Why is their question more important than your health?

I tell them I stopped drinking alcohol. the shot makes me not wanna drink. So, it’s true.

Zero need to share.. Unless you want to.
Tell the truth.

The problem is when people ask you’re out in a potion to share even if you don’t want to. So if you choose not to share you end up having to lie, even if you would have preferred just not to discuss it in the first place.

i must know alot of rude people because i have had many people comment - i always say it is wegovy - never going to remove the stigma if you don't own it when it works. I ate nothing for several years on weight watchers and working out while gaining 7-10lbs every other month - so I feel like it is medicine - just like any other prescription drug

SO many people ask how you lost weight! Heck, *I* ask people. "You look amazing! What's your secret?" So if you're on a GLP-1 (which I am) you have decide, are you going to be honest or are you going to keep it to yourself? I've chosen the latter.

Wow, you're incredibly rude then. It's so rude to comment on people's bodies.

I am on a GLP-1 and nobody has said anything to me about my weight loss. If they ask, I'll tell them the truth because I am not ashamed of it.

You ladies have absolutely nothing to be ashamed about, stop acting like you're doing something wrong, you're doing the right thing for your health.

Now if you're 5'7" and doing compounded meds to go from 125 to 115, then maybe you should be ashamed, LOL!

I haven’t read all the responses. But my good friend at work has lost 40 lbs in a very short amount of time and says she just cut calories, which is BS. Own it or don’t, but everyone will have their opinions about it anyway no matter what you say. I have nothing against it though.

People are noticing... I have noticed many friends and acquaintances and sometimes don't get around to saying anything but thought to myself they look good... not trying to ignore their loss, it just doesn't come up.
