If you are an upper crust WASPy family that will be sending your DD to private school full of other children saddled with legacy names, your kid will be fine and no one will assume you named her after the former VP.

Don't give your kid a weird name and send them to public school.

Use it as a middle name if you must, but don’t use it as a first name.

Harris is not a good first name for either boy or girl. Use a regular name.
