This. I like chobani or wallaby best. I don’t like the thickness either, OP. I usually add some water and mix it really well until it has the consistency of regular yogurt

Marketing convinces these people it's "healthy". If you think EVERY grocery store in America has a gigantic wall of yogurt because it's healthy I have a bridge to sell y'all. It's a high-margin racket for all involved, that's why it gets such a huge wall with so many options.

Yogurt is a Big Dairy psyop. Tastes like vomit... or loaded with sugar or imitation sweetener to make it palatable. Why not just drink 8oz of milk, which costs all of 10 cents?

Purée some berries in a blender. Whisk into the yogurt. This will create a smoother consistency. I’d add some lemon juice too. The acid will brighten the taste and balance the sweetness.

No, but I can encourage you to splurge and try Le Fermiere — which is my favorite brand. If you don’t like it, you’ll have a cute little ceramic pot that you can use to hold your pens. As others have said, different types of yogurt taste very different from each other. Experiment and find one that you like.

Fage. Only Fage. I prefer the 2%.

Y’all, I know it’s higher in protein, but I swear it’s like eating paste. How do people enjoy this? Realize I may be in the minority here.

I made the switch years ago. It just took getting used to. Stir it up really well. Now I don’t like non-Greek.

Use your plain yogurt in a recipe and see if you can find your regular brand in another store?

I only like the Fage plain 2% and even that is getting harder to find. I dont want nonfat and artificial flavors and sweeteners or sugary syrups and candy to mix in (who is eating that stuff?)

OP back and really appreciate all the suggestions.

“Worrying” because I have a container in the fridge that I’d rather not toss.

Though I beg to differ on the availability of plain yogurt. 95% of shelf space at regular grocery stores is given over to flavored stuff. And don’t even get me started on fat free, which is a total abomination.

Think I’m finally going to try and make my own.

Fat! Fat makes it yummy. Fage 5%

I know. It’s fat.

Also agree with other suggestions about Siggi, and I also like Painterland Sisters (I think it is?).

Good sweet blueberries and walnuts. Banana is ok. Chia pudding with part coconut milk (the can) and Greek yogurt.

I love plain greek yogurt. But if you do not, don’t eat it. I do not understand trying to make yourself like something you do not.

OP says she likes regular plain yoghurt, she just doesn’t like Greek yogurt. Greek yoghurt is bland; it doesn’t have the tart taste regular yoghurt has. If you like the taste of regular yogurt, Greek yogurt is a flavorless substitute.

Why do you sometimes spell it yoghurt?

I agree OP. Greek yogurt is so dry and pasty. I just can’t eat it.
