Except they’re not selling, which is the point of this thread.

Seems like it must be easy to just build white boxes and call them homes.

Yes, and just like any profession or business endeavor, there are skilled ones who get it right, and unskilled ones who don’t. This is the latter, and the market confirms this.

And lucky for the unskilled ones, there are plenty of people who lack any taste or understanding of space and proportion. Some of them even stumbled into money.

Thank goodness we have people like you to set the rest of us straight.

https://daimlerbuilds.com/

A family with the surname “Demuren”. The agent who sells these, a guy by the name of Tami Demuren, is presumably the guy’s son.

The Foxhall house linked below is worse than the original examples.

That is a crime against humanity.

I am from San Diego and I promise these houses are not typical for SoCal.

+1 There are generally two styles of homes in CA

- mediterranean style
- ranch/bungalow

I've had both. I miss the mediterranean style homes. They look so out of place here in the DC area.

what is up with all the flat roofs? flat roofs are a pain that are more prone to leaks and harder to repair

I guess I'm in the minority but I really like the first two. The third is OK but I'm the worrying type, and being in a tall, skinny house like that would make me nervous.

Oh look, the builder found this thread.
