When you are admitting tens of thousands of kids, who cares or has time to differentiate?
Just make the essays shorter by imposing a word limit; for example, a word limit of 2 might produce a great Why Clemson essay composed of "Go Tigers ".
If anyone needs help composing a two word limit essay for Indiana, Penn State, or UVa, I think that I can help.
Gaslight much? Clemson's overall national rankings are not on the same level as Penn State for sure.
Lol Penn State and Indiana are nothing like selective privates. Clemson and Penn State are about the same level. Clemson has lower acceptance rate.
Manipulating acceptance rates is easy, just make the essay optional and you have more apps to reject. At the end of the day they’re both cow colleges.
LOL personal essay is optional and there's an optional one essay which is a similar topic as the personal essay for Penn State. Big deal lol
So you’re saying both are a joke? lol
Nope I was saying essays are joke.
Translation: Almost all respectable colleges require an essay but my college doesn’t. Therefore, instead of admitting my college is a joke, I think essays are a joke and all those actual respectable colleges are wrong.
It's a joke that at any college you don't even know who actually wrote it.
How do you know that the AO doesn’t know? Obviously they disagree with you and think you’re wrong

VT definitely reads the essays.
The are using AI as a second reader this year. So….

Everyone just judges based on the resume. Clemson admitted 23,000 students last year. You think they are saying "Well, Sally's stats are lower than Johnny's, but her essay just hit harder according to our hourly-paid temp admissions reader." It is a waste of their time/money to evaluate based on essays at that scale.
