Plan to visit my ob gyn this week and ask about adding topical estrogen and testosterone. I’m hearing from acquaintances that it’s difficult to get the testosterone. Have others found that to be the case in Nova? I know it’s off label to prescribe it for women but so eager to feel like myself again!

This except I’m 50 and using the daily estrogen gel. I figured I was taking progesterone daily so preferred to do the gel daily vs having the remember to switch the patch.
When I started HRT I had such incredible brain fog I thought I might have dementia. My sleep was terrible—getting up multiple times to pee, sweats, or just awake for hours. Periods were all over the place in terms of cycle and flow. Initially did BC bc I was still getting my period but that did nothing to help regulate my cycle, mood, or sleep so that’s when I switched to HRT. I could not believe how quickly I felt so much better. I’d been dealing with these issues for at least two years.
Maybe it’s not for everyone but it absolutely has made me feel human again. Sleeping better than I’ve slept in decades. Rarely ever wake up for any reason. Thinking more clearly. Night sweats are gone. Period is still very irregular but so be it.
