Moms4liberty is out in force spewing lies.
Same story as last year. Exactly the same and did not happen then either.
Yes this would be assault yes MCPS would have called. the police and a report would have been taken if it was real. Not a chance that police would not have been called.
This. They are all over this site during election season and it is infuriating. Many of them have no kids in school anymore but just make shit up. My friend is neighbors with Laura Murphy... of ban books fame in FCPS/Va fame. Turns out she hasn't had kids in FCPS for years. Her son is also a MAGAT and was head of the Young Republicans at his college and kept inviting shady right wing speakers to campus. He had to a cancel a few because the uproar. Husband is a MAGAT lawyer. The entire family is avoided by neighbors. Everyone pretends to be nice but cannot stand them.

This wasn't a fight. This was an attack, and I hope those parents press charges and sue MCPS.
If the parents are reading this, I truly hope your child is ok, and I'm sorry they/you went through this. There is no excuse for this behavior, and that attacker needs to be thrown out of MCPS, as your child should be safe at school.
My kids went to Frost a few years ago and we thought the principal was excellent. He’s been there a long time.
It’s not his fault - and I do hope they sue the aggressor’s parents and remove him. But please don’t lump this principal in the mess that is MCPS.
New principal this year.

Are you new to MCPS? Or new to MS? There are similar fights at pretty much every MS in this county on a regular basis.

Just for the record, the BCC student who smashed the chair onto the head of a younger student graduated on time with his BCC classmates, who gave a massive cheer when his name was called at the graduation ceremony. And to be clear, this wasn't the first incident by the chair-smasher. (My DC was in the same class, 2022.)
I'm not an MCPS hater but given that track record, I'm skeptical that there will be any meaningful consequences for a violent sixth grader.
For sure. The parents need to sue the other family. Imagine your child needing implants at age 12. That’s a lifetime of mouth and tooth problems. Family should be required to pay tens of thousands per year
