Most spell out what's included and what you can have for an extra charge. My parents get cleaning every 2 weeks, you can add extra cleanings for a fee.

They get a set amount for dining to spend monthly. You can spend more and just have it charged to your account. They get enough for each to have 1 dinner daily, and typically enough for 1 breakfast or lunch for each every 2-3 days of the month.

Shuttles run to local stores and are free, there is a schedule. For a fee, you can schedule the facility to drive you to medical appointments (fees are low for that)

Don’t be stupid. When elderly people decline, they are helped by their children. Human beings need help at the end of their life. That’s just reality.


As long as the inlaws can afford this, it actually means less work for the OP. So if they can afford it it just means she's concerned she will be getting less when they die.
