New coaches for FVU, CSA, RU, VDA, Courage. Arlington is the only team with a consistent staff and style of play.
Not to say the other coaches and the talent on those groups might not just carry them through, but it will take time to adjust to new voices and new coaches.
Don't sleep on Arlington and MT!
Arlington has nothing on VDA or RU but I like your confidence. I think CSA and Arlington battle for 3rd. I don’t think FVU (NVA 2.0 minus its top player who is at VDA now) is going to be a factor and will likely be behind Courage.
I wouldn’t sleep on CSA. VDA has looked bad in preseason. RU has a new coach and drama. CSA is a really strong team and drama free.
VDA has looked bad in preseason? 14 to 2 in goal diff? If that is the case then what adjective do you use for Union?
Sorry but Arlington only beat two bad GA teams. At least VDA beat a respectable GA team 3-1. That VRSC 09 team isn’t as bad as many of you think.
VDA #1. RU #2 and then everyone else.
#1 and #2 at kickball.
Really? Ok. Whatever. IMO, neither team plays that way all the time. At times, sure, that type of play may be warranted. Who, then plays the "right' way in the 2009 MA group?
Anonymous wrote:Going away from the kickball is what could be the downfall of VDA this year. ML is not a kickball coach, but this team is also not a football playing team. We will see how they adapt.
It would be hoped that the new players can help them get some stability in possession.

Yeah, CSA has been a solid, strong team the past few years and will continue to be this year as well. VDA will get things sorted out as will RU. Yes, they RU has a new coach and that was not expected, but he's familiar with the team and has been involved in Richmond soccer for years.
Biggest issue is there is only the 9 league games plus the cup games, so not a lot of room for error. Lose a few early and it's lights out.
