When you are backing out, you wait for a clear time. Nobody has to wait. If it's a crowded lot, they are thrilled to see you backing out and will happily wait.

It isn't if you are in a regular car. There are so many trucks and SUVs that if I back in, I can't see around them when I go to pull out. However, I can see what is coming from either side with my back camera and it also gives an alert if people or cars are coming. I always park the old-fashioned way, so that I can use the backup camera to aid getting out of the spot.
