Wow this is my mom’s family, but I never put it together until now. Lots were asked of the girls, but not the boys. Boys had all sorts of problems are still very reliant on their sisters to function in the world, but girls made their way. Not that they didn’t have issues, but found careers and most are happily married for years with nice kids and grandkids.
