Calling this martial law is quite a bit of a stretch.. But, absolutely, it's clearly working.
How is it working? Authorities aren't releasing any details on arrests. The numbers the first night were lower than the average number of arrests made just by MPD before this started. I don't particularly feel like crime is a problem in my daily life anyway, but I definitely don't think arresting food delivery drivers and lawn care workers for immigration violations is making me safer.
Well for one thing, there have been no murders in DC in a week. Last time that happened was March.
