James is too boring. Jamie is better. Felix is even better than Jamie. Isaac is terrible.

It was the 5th most popular boy name in the US in 2024 and has been in the top 10 since 2014.

There are a lot of kids named James but so what? Pick the name you both love best. It’s actually great that you and your spouse both love the same name; often couples have to compromise bc the name one parent loves, the other parent doesn’t. In this case, you clearly need to go with the one you both love!

It is becoming unisex.

It was originally female.

My husband is James and we named our first son James. I loved the name because it is a classic, common but not trendy.

James has no connotations at all which in my mind is a good thing.
Felix would make me immediately think "pretentious hipster." See also Atticus, Soren, Jude.

I would go with James. I would really suggest not going with Felix.

My 10 year old has two James in his class. None on any sports teams we've encountered. It's a great name. I wouldn't worry about it being too popular, its not a trendy name.

I am not sure what people are trying to accomplish with “Jameson” which seems to be rather popular.

My son’s class has two Jamesons, and every soccer team they play seems to have at least one.

James is a really nice name. Though I’m not sure why it’s plural. You are one Jame, not many.
