I'd find that uncomfortable. Nice firm to hard chairs and mattresses are better for posture and health.

My MIL & FIL came down for Christmas once and stayed with my SIL. After a few days, MIL complained the furniture just wasn't comfortable and too hard.

So DH loaded up one of our leather recliners and drove it across town. MIL tried it for one day, proclaimed it also uncomfortable, and then they both just got in their car and left on Christmas Eve morning for a 12 hour drive back home!

We were literally preparing food for Christmas Eve, wrapping the last presents, and now the visiting grandparents disappear 6 hours before the family celebration started!

You'd think she would have toughed it out for just one more day, LOL!

Other than that, she was a hoot and I loved them both dearly and miss them so much.

We have comfy soft couches and chairs and certainly provided our mothers with a soft rocking chair for when the kids were babies! I spent many nights nursing in that rocking chair. Why would you want something uncomfortable?

People like different things and find them comfortable. That is why some people have soft mattresses and some people prefer hard ones. Novel concept I know!
