The tipping point for my brother was when he had to get a custom shirt and suit for a wedding because his neck was the size of most people's waist. It was $$$$. Just ridiculous.

This is what my son (college senior) is facing. He's 6'4" and 280. Hr also is having trouble finding a spotter when he benches 315.

He must be able to bench more than 315 if he is that weight and it’s muscle.

I mean…I am a relatively old man (42) at 200 and I can do 5 reps at 300.

I guess if he’s doing 20 reps.

Well OP is a Trump voter, so she’d probably prefer if he was a fat, orange, incoherent rapist.

If my 20 year old is buying his own clothes and taking care of himself, I wouldn’t say a word. But I’m not one to comment on appearances in general.

6'1 and 225 isn't that huge - not like some of the more grotesque body builder physiques.

Can someone explain supplements to avoid and are those the same or different than steroids?

The bulking doesn’t make much sense to me unless you are an actual athlete.

My 6’3” actual college athlete kid on a strict training routine wants to maintain at around 200-205 based on the college trainer advice.

NP here and OP, my son is younger than yours (still in college) but I've noticed the same thing.

I see no problem with any of this, and absolutely he voted for Trump. So did I, by the way.

It's much better than the video game crowd.

OP here, thanks for the decent response. Yes, I agree that this is better than him being addicted to sports betting or video games.

I find the Trump comments funny because yes he did vote for him but so did myself and my husband. My husband is 5'11' and 200lbs and isn't out of shape, I guess I can see the genetics things but its just crazy seeing him get that big. He is not using supplements and does not look like he uses supplements (you can usually tell). He eats tons of food (which I'm happy to serve him when he visits).

So where do all of you deplorables live? Clearly not in the DMV.

I’m in NW DC. You, OP?

As a parent, if there's such a big change in a short period of time, I'd be concerned about juicing, 'roids, HGH, and a bunch of other things.

My 20 year old is ripped. But it's lean muscle from his insane workouts and running. It's hard to get bulk and super big at that age unless you are willfully supplementing with crap.

Do a little deep dive into the effects of all these supplements - tiny balls, low sperm count, performance issues, rage, mood disorders. And really explain it to him.

Tell him to be clean, because the costs are really high if he's not.

He's not fat, he's just muscular. Are you stupid?
