Anonymous wrote:Yes of course, it's very clearly not a wedding dress. Any woman who gets offended by someone wearing a dress that has even a hint of white in it is a bridezilla. Nobody is going to mistake what you're wearing for a wedding dress. Just like nobody mistook the cocktail dress I wore that was cream with black pinstripes on it to a friend's wedding as a wedding dress. And no, losers, I did not run it by her friend. She did not seem surprised or offended that I was wearing a cream and black dress to her wedding, I bet she didn't even notice.

I agree. I'm sick of these blanket "rules". That dress is a print, it's not solid white. And it's also cream, not stark white. That plus the large navy pattern makes it perfectly fine.
I also agree. It’s a large print and looks nothing like a wedding dress.
Not wearing white is about not upstaging the bride. While I am sure OP is awesome, at 50 and in a beige-navy print dress, she’s not upstaging the bride.
Yeah, that dress is ugly as sin, so no one‘s upstaging anyone in that dress. But lots of people are gonna look at her and be like why the heck did she pick cream?
Only old fashion-police type women.
