I don’t understand the urgency to unpack and shower. Go sit on the deck with a book, walk down to the beach, find a coffee shop, etc. while you wait for people to arrive.

The college kid deserves nothing but a living room sofa. The youngest should have both smaller rooms. What a 💩 family!

So bizarre. But I'm an only child. People with mobility issues and little kids get priority. Much better if the little kids are settled and less whiny. Everyone else sorts it out. College kids don't get priority and get the couches etc. I've done plenty of trips with friends sharing houses and I just don't care what the sleeping deal is as long as it's not the loudest room next to the front door/kitchen or something. I'm just sleeping there.

If the youngest brother was expected to share their "family" bedroom with little kids, why weren't they given a King?

The college student's family obviously tried to race everybody to the house in the hopes that her uncle would tell them she should go ahead and pick a room and settle in, even though that's not what they all agreed upon. Good for him for not playing along.
