Because so many levels would have already gone thru the episode to vet it and ensure parody, no claims, etc., isn’t it more likely it’s an intentional way for Paramount to lock in that Colbert WAS financial decision and not about content bc look at what Paramount allows for South Park? So calculated move by Paramount that for Southpark creators meant they could go all in for first episode?
You make zero sense at all.
South Park literally delivers episodes to Comedy Central 30 minutes before air-time. They are like SNL - they create one whole episode within a week, working nonstop for six days straight. Scripts and episodes are not vetted. The network airs it. They do this for 10 weeks straight and then need a 40 week break. It's grueling. They will re-write episodes a day or two before air if there is a major event.
Paramount, Trump and the Redstone family have egg all over their faces. They literally just agreed to pay $1.5B to two brilliant satirists who will skewer them for the next five years.
TIL South Park is still on the air.
Not culturally relevant.

They signed a ridiculous deal so now they go out of their way to show they’re not beholden to anyone. It was probably written into their contract what the first episode would say and how much it could insult paramount.
Worst of all they’re probably going about it in the most unsubtle way possible.
That shit jumped rhe shark about 20 years ago.
Yea, the problem is South Park and not the bribes being solicited by a President from major corporations.
No the problem is that they signed up with the bribers and you think it’s cool and edgy that they are politely giving their new corrupt overlords a very perfunctory middle finger about it and then will move on.
I am absolutely fine with South Park creators taking a massive chunk of Paramount’s equity and taking a huge crap all over the company, continually poking their executives in the eye over and over again.
The breakup fee in their contract is probably crazy.
They didn't take a massive chunk of any equity. That's not much for paramount.
Screw you and your MAGA friends, the whole crew sucks and so do you for laughing along.
I don’t think you understand - South Park is single handedly putting the Paramount-Skydance deal at risk with this episode. It was foul and low brow beyond comprehension. They literally show Trump with a micropenis. And they are going to do it over and over again for an entire season.
Sheri Redstone deserves all of this.
No, South Park is making money for Paramount with this deal. You’re watching and commenting on it, aren’t you? So will a bunch of other people. If South Park *didn’t* do this, no one would watch the show. They are doing exactly what Paramount paid them to do.
Trump isnt going to care at all about this, if that’s what you are thinking. It’s stupid South Park. Everyone knows this is what they do.
Stephen Colbert gets fired for benign criticism of Trump and South Park gets to stay on for extremely offensive satirical poking of both Trump and Paramount executives. Huh? Make it make sense.
Trump and his FCC are not going to let this deal happen with what is happening on Comedy Central. Everyone is laughing at Trump.

Doubt that given they were just given billions of $.
Paramount is in the business of making money are they not?
They gave up a ton with Colbert going to make it up somehow.
South Park is not going anywhere. God Bless South Park. South Park delivered the biggest beat down to Trump in history
South Park just annihilated Trump.
Oh boy.
Gotta love it. Paramount killed Colbert to placate Trump, paid South Park creators a ton of money, and they turn around and just mock him relentlessly.
Respect.
The deepfake nude Trump with the micro-D is tooooo good.![]()

I think this is hilarious, good for them
It's just someone going "hahah he has a small dick"
there are so many better insults for that prick.
What's also great is that is all that is needed to bait tiny-demented brained Trump.
Did he say something about it today?
He will once his aides brief him on it. He wouldn’t know otherwise.
So, this is really going to make waves, you think? Can't wait!
Well, there's a reaction from the White House so far:

The point of that story is that there ISN'T a reaction from the WH. It was just some instagram reel by some guy who is like "omg i read in rollingstone that so many people at the WH are sooo mad!"
That's a long way from Trump giving a shit.
The point is that the initial word from the inside the White House is that they are "furious". Aaron made a point to say that Trump himself hasn't said anything yet... but it's not late at night yet, which is when Trump does his best work as President (and the only work he's apparently "capable" of). And that's posting unhinged BS on his moronic social media platform.

He’ll post one of his boilerplate tweets about Parker and Stone being unfunny, no-talent losers, just like anyone who pokes fun at him.
I mean, people have been mocking that paramount deal for weeks, and hes' been ignoring it, but I bet they had a really fresh take on it that will DEFINITELY get his attention! So excited for the meltdown!
NP. He has the mental age of a 5 year old, so yeah he will become absolutely fixated on this.
Yep
OMG I bet he hates all the satirical stuff South Park has done about him befroe! He's definitely got into flame wars with them before, right?
