If residency ends in a month then wait to see how he behaves then. But I wouldn’t put all your eggs in this basket.

This seems reasonable enough, and you seem to want to Guevara him another chance. So give him another chance. But he might cancel again. Will that be cool with you? Personally I'd only make plans with him on weeknights when I didn't have anything else going on. So I wouldn't be that mad if he canceled again.

Since he canceled on you 2x, then I would just tell him you are not interested.

Even if he did have work commitments to attend to, you still do not want to date someone who is so busy that he had to cancel two dates in a row. 👀

I know doctors don’t have much flexibility with schedules and maybe he really did get stuck twice. Hard to know if he is stringing you along or flaky or just has bad luck, maybe run it by your mutual friend to get a feel on it.

I like him. We had a couple of casual hangouts and talk a lot through phone.

We met for ice cream last night after he got off work.

That’s sweet. I’m glad he reached out to you.

He’s a resident doctor and crap got the fab so he had to stay until all patients were seen.

Tell him to schedule on a day he is not on call.
