Yes, he has done both Tretinoin and Aczone (he uses Aczone now), as well as a topical antibiotic. Didn't help at all.
He actually came to me last night and said he wanted to do Accutane ("I can't take looking like this anymore"). But the comments about ulcerative collitis and cholesterol have scared me

My sons only had dry skin and more prone to sunburn when on the drug. They were lifeguards so they had to be careful. Their doctor required a blood test each month. If you neglected to get the blood test, you didn’t receive the Accutane script for the next month. I believe they were on the drug for 6 months. Most importantly, it worked!
