Look RFK, Jr. entered the chat with a total lack of scientific knowledge. Obese people are no more likely to catch COVID than normal BMI people. Common denominator, normal BMI and obese people don’t like getting sick with a contagious disease on vacation. Also common denominator, selfish holes love to go out and spread COVID.

This. What is wrong with you if you keep getting it? I’ve never had it.

I've never had it to my knowledge. Tested for every little sniffle at first and for longer than most. Then had a brief time of not doing that and then DH's grandmother got cancer and we were back to testing for every little thing and even nothing when we would go to her house. Have only been sick (more than the mildest of colds) once since Covid started and I tested every day because I was curious (having never had it). Was probably flu, though I had had a flu shot.

It’s gotta be the same susceptible people who keep passing it around. I have had Covid one time, in 2022, never before or since. And I do test when I’m sick just out of curiosity but it is never ever Covid. It’s so odd to still be getting it in 2025.

Acute covid may feel similar to a cold, but it's causing a lot of long term damage.

Highly recommend staying up to date with the research if you value your future health.

Listen, Buddy. I work in public health and am concerned about America’s obesity rate… however, one think your smug arse needs to remember is that unless you have the good fortune of dropping dead suddenly at some point, you too will become disabled and medically fragile for some portion of your life. It’s insane for any human to have your attitude because time comes for us all.

Insanity is crippling yourself early through lifestyle. Go right ahead if you want - I won’t be doing that.
