I'm OP and I'm overwhelmed by all of you taking the time to post her. Earlier this week I learned that a close friend of many years -- my college roommate-- is facing a health challenge. I started this thread because I needed something to make me smile. You all came through! And I love the variety -- everything from Vera Ellen (The Best Things Happen When You're Dancing) to Jennifer Garner and Mark Ruffalo in Thriller to The Full Monty. Thank you all so much! Strictly Ballroom seems like it should be a cult classic, but it’s almost impossible to find in streaming. I saw it in the 90s and have been casually looking for it for years to rewatch but can never find it.

But for me, as much as I remember: the part at the very end when everyone starts dancing to Love is in the Air. What a joyful moment!
