But wear what you want?
You will die of heat stroke in those in Europe in the summer!

OK they may be "in" but they look hideous. Do you mindlessly follow whatever "influencer" tells you to do?

The only people who care about sock length are the people who care about style. That is not remotely synonymous with "high anxiety" or "live most of their life online" or "consider what other people think in every small decision." In fact it is opposite of at least two of those things. (And fwiw you are definitely giving both "high anxiety" and "lives most of life online" with your nasty comment.)
OP wants something that will work that is at least somewhat fashionable. No-show socks are not fashionable. It isn't a big deal, wear whatever socks you want. Or don't wear socks at all. But no-show socks are out.
Yes, middle-aged woman should definitely be wearing these:

I’ve seen middle aged women wearing these socks. I would not say they look great or are fashionable. I would say that it’s clear they are trying very hard to seem youthful.
I have seen a few boomers wearing these and I can barely contain myself. I try not to judge people by what they wear, truly. But the try hards are just the worse. And the boomer ladies, with their funky glasses, short hair, and these socks just need to stop.
Do you mean boomer as an age group or state of mind? Because my 80 year old parents love their long crew socks, and it’s not because they are the current trend.

I wore these Rothy sneakers that are really cute and you don’t have to wear socks with them, you can throw them in the washer/dryer at home. Wear them all over Europe for two weeks super comfortable.
I’m a 55 year old mom who just traveled cross country for an active vacation. I packed my trusty Walmart tiered cotton dress (I have 5) and wore with Samba-like Reeboks from Sierra with non show running socks. The Reeboks come in Barbie pink & royal blue. Very comfortable and on o e travel day, I walked 4 miles.
This looks very out of style.
NP. Those of you making this claim sound ridiculous. Middle-aged women aren’t going to wear crew or tube socks like teenagers. Stop trying so hard to look hip that you actually look absurd. No-show socks are perfectly fine.
