By that measure, MSNBC and CNN are DOA today.
Don't know but the 4 :30 p.m. dinner crowd likes to rot their brains in front of Fox News based on my recent travels through the rehab., assisted living, nursing home circuit.

I agree, but, I hate to tell you, that is a pipe dream. You put new blood in the current system, they'll end up like the rest. Anyone who wants to be a politician is usually not the best person. Rare exceptions, but it's hard for good people to do good. It's the old adage that anyone who seeks power is probably going to be shitty at wielding it and the best leaders are the ones who don't choose it, it is thrust upon them by circumstances. They rise to the occasion.
America had a good run where, even though money always runs things, we had some progress toward a more perfect union. Now Trump and Co are tearing all the good things down within months and the HORRID GOP congresspeople are abetting him out of either being horrible themselves or being cowards. And the Dems are powerless. It is truly nauseating.
Then maybe we need to have obligatory government service ala jury duty but for our political leaders! Let’s find some good people to “rise to the occasion” by talking them in the shoulder rather than waiting for the scammers to volunteer their own services?

Sure, but a two party system doesn’t mean we need to keep the two major parties that we have. Both are done. Time for new parties.
