What can be done about neighbors who engage in illegal activities, shoot gun throughout the night, and don't keep up the property?
Why are you focusing on how they pay their rent?

Just because someone is receiving housing assistance does not mean that they are common riff raff.
I do not understand why you had to add that element to your post OP.
Seems like you are trying to spread hate on here intentionally.

The income I receive is extraneous to my life now (after decades of work). From time to time, I was getting emails from neighbors unhappy with a late night part or bc there were some beer bottles scattered on a stoop when they walked by Sunday am from night before. I used to be apologetic and call tenants and tell them to cool their jets. The last several years, I tell the neighbors, if you ever contact me again about a party or beer cans, I will get rid of the current tenants and install the most violent section 8 tenants I can find - it’s makes 0 difference to me. These days, I’ll prob make more with section 8. You choose. I never hear from neighbors anymore 😃
Hard to imagine why people hate landlords….

This was my first thought too as I read your post (and title too!!)
Why do you have to categorize them as Section 8/voucher recipients??
How is this relative to the havoc that they are causing in your neighborhood??
Are Section 8 recipients a monolith now or what? 🤔
Section 8 status is relevant as a legal matter if/when the landlord tries to evict. You’re either being purposefully disingenuous or are very dumb.
