The blockade would be broken in days and it would result in a major military escalation that would be supported by every nation in the Gulf, and frankly, the entire world that depends on Gulf oil. With the USS Gerald Ford set to be in the area in the coming days, that's three aircraft groups in the region. That is an unbelievable amount of firepower that Iran has no answer for. Their only rational response at this point would be to accept that their nuclear weapons program has come to an end and pursue a ceasefire. Any escalation that Iran pursues from here is going to be met with devastation for the Iranian regime.

In 1978 when we supported the Shah in the Iranian revolution the price of oil shot up from $35 a barrel to $78 a barrel, a doubling in the price of oil. Looking forward to the higher oil and consumer prices and recession that will follow.
I just want personally thank Israel for the conflict and the awesome intelligence work they gave us to go into Iraq - the U.S. army is still looking for that Yellow Cake they promised us we would find if we overthrew Saddam. $3T for that war and Americans are still paying the interest on that debt for it to this day.

Don't forget to thank them for finally taking action to suppress the spread of violent Islamic Revolution from Iran. Or perhaps you preferred to wait for that cancer to spread more widely, which would have all kinds of financial and other benefits, no doubt.

Not sure how you get that translation. More accurate would be that the chips from TSMC are the only strategic concern of the US. Move the fabs (already started) and the US doesn’t care.Anonymous wrote:translation: I meant to trip over my own feet. And just last week, they completed a rail link specifically to move oil. So now China can get its oil without a water route.
China is not concerned about Iran, they are happy the US is preoccupied. And I think the US passes on Taiwan. TSMC is already moving their fabs out anyway, which is their only value add.
Donald Trump is a pawn to the highly competent and strategic Xi Jinping. Thanks for electing him/s

Anonymous wrote:^That's actually not true. A very unintelligent comment and an unitelligent responder.
UAE, Saudi and Qatar also use straight of hormuz
Iran can make it impossible for ships other than to China's to pass through. They can constantly harrass or comandeer ships passing through. A responder also pointed they also have have rail leaving the country on land to China as well.
