I don’t see why. We have all been saying free and fair primaries. Everyone is tired of the Andrew Cuomos of the world. I’m not a New Yorker so my opinion doesn’t matter much here, But nationally we are probably going to see some establishment dems get chopped.
Agree - I don't like a lot about Mamdani but there's a reality here that Democrats need to wake up to and confront. Voters are sick and tired of lackluster corporate establishment Democrats.
Wow -- glad I don't live in NY. If these are the two D choices it says a lot about the status of the Democratic party and not in a good way.

That's not the narrative anyone is saying. It's that he's standing up for the working class and not taking big money unlike Cuomo who's basically speaking for corporate interests and takes money from the same donors as Trump.

This is a country that elected far right extremist Donald Trump and some people still support him. You have no idea how things will turn out…it’s possible we elect a competent leader in the future, so she’s got a shot.
Trump is neither far right nor an extremist. Your comment simply shows how far left the democrats have gone - particularly if you believe AOC is “competent.”
I agree. Trump's biggest flaw as it relates to the POTUS position is his lack of integrity.

The current NYC mayor has an approval rating around 20% among all NYC residents. It’s the lowest of any mayor in 30 years. Adams had to drop out of the Dem primary and run as an independent this year because he was going to get destroyed in a Dem primary.
