No. Anyone paying attention knew she was a DEI hire. Remember how Democrats couldnt wait to tell you she was the first black lesbian press secretary? There was an entire media campaign with puff pieces on that very topic. That's a DEI hire intended to check off boxes and virtue signal. Not be the best person for the position.
Everyone paying attention knew this. The off-the-record-insiders that are commenting about her know this.
I agree she was a DEI hire. I just sincerely doubt that she was as incompetent as she came across. You have to be well, well, well below the average candidate for the job to perform like she did. They could have randomly selected professionals from the DC streets, and 80% would have been better briefers than she was. She literally mumbled and sometimes just wordlessly stared back at journalists who asked questions. When asked for clarification, she would repeat, almost verbatim, exactly what she had already said, just slower. To call her terrible at the job doesn't quite feel sufficient. And yet, there she was. I have to believe that they felt confident in her somehow, before she started, and that she showed some kind of promise.
Stephanie Grisham did it. I don’t think KJP will debase Biden at all. Possibly the deeply flawed, untold truths of both parties.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:This is hilarious. You really can’t make this up. KJP stood at the podium with a straight face and said she could barely keep up with Biden — the same guy who freezes mid-sentence and needs note cards to find the door.
Now she’s scrambling to save face, suddenly claiming to be “independent” and distancing herself from the Dems.
Too late. She carried water for this administration every step of the way.
She did her job just like Trump's press secretaries have done. They are paid to be a voice of and for their bosses. They aren't paid to expose untruths and weaknesses their bosses have. It's very fair to hate on Trump and Biden but don't fault their messengers who are simply doing their job.
While I agree with your take, writing a memoir afterward about how you were just faking it is kind of shitty.

What you've written describes jobs that don't require honesty or integrity. I couldn't disagree with you more.
