The fact you are considering doing this just to look better in a bathing suit instead of eating normally and enjoying your vacation is indeed and indicator that you have ED issues.

(I’ve tried and still do try a regimen of probiotics, gentle laxatives, etc but I still get the problem when I travel. Some of it is due to stress, to cabib air pressure, to inability to stick to my usual foods, etc.)

I brought a tummy control one piece to Punta Cana on a girl's trip but when I saw the rest of my group, with bodies not as good as mine, in bikinis I said to hell with it. The world can see my imperfect stomach.
NP here. It's not just this problem. It also feels awful, like you're carrying 5 lbs on your stomach that you have to lug around all day.
If it bothered me I would wear one of those swimsuits with the built-in Spanx. I would not fast on my vacation.
The only way I could see this bothering me is if I was, again, on a girl's trip and all the other women looked better than me. With my husband and kids, never.

It happens every day at home, but I don't care. When I'm on vacation and need to be in a bathing suit, I do have to watch what I consume. There is no magic bullet. Even water makes me look bloated. I was told by a plastic surgeon it's because my rectus abdominus muscles did not re-join after my pregnancy and it will always just be like this unless I surgically repair the diastasis.
