No, most Democrats don’t actually think this. What they do realize is that huge numbers of Americans don’t vote at all, and Independents supporting Third Party candidates splits the vote. In Biden, they went with a very established reassuringly (to some) white male — and won. The BEST of our country included people like Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris — who many of the more racist traditionalists couldn’t bring themselves to vote for. Yeah, I get that there are other reasons to not vote for these candidates, but it stands out that a wide range of people supported their policies - yet couldn’t bring themselves to vote for the women.

As much as I hate it, pragmatic plans would have multiple white male potential candidates, actually multiple straight white male Christian candidates in the pipeline until the current Heritage Foundation apparatus can either be contained or becomes less appealing to people who aren’t being well-served by their goals.
