For city people, yes our truck will be spotless when you encounter it. They are too expensive to trash.
The dems in Congress made trucks and SUVs a great write off to gain UAW support! Section 179 is just a regular tax law! None of the city folks on here own a business!
99.9% of suburbanites aren't hauling haybales nor are towing livestock. 99.9% of people are driving these dumbass vehicles to go to Costco, Home Goods, Target, Starbucks and the local McDonald's. Because a story exists that's probably 2-3 standard deviations from the norm doesn't really add much to the overall point that most of America lives in the city and burbs and are driving all of these stupidly sized cars that are completely unnecessary and are killing too many people. And all to line the pockets of automakers. Somehow 3 billion people from Europe to Asia are capable of having families, sports practices and haul around stuff, yet don't need stupidly sized vehicles to survive.
I guess no tradesmen or sportsmen live in the suburbs anymore.
I guess no trades people live in Europe all the way to Japan. Oh wait, that's right, they do, and almost none of them use these stupidly sized trucks. In fact, they often drive vans.

And even when there's no cliff, the guardrails are damaged beyond use when one of these monster trucks hits them, instead of just being scuffed/ dented.
Cars should be taxed by size/ weight, and the rates should be sharply progressive. If you insist on driving around in one of these dicks-on-wheels, you should pay A LOT to compensate the rest of us for the damage you're causing.
100% this.

The best part are the clowns driving these $90k monstrosities claiming they need it to haul stuff even though 99% of the time you always see these types of trucks in absolute prestine condition. They didn't need these behemoths back in the 70s or 80s. The size of US vehicles is absolutely out of control, and they're killing more people than ever before. Literally zero good reasons for these stupidly sized trucks and SUVs. They only exist because the car industry lobbies Congress to allow loopholes for these stupid vehicles so they're not regulated as commercial trucks where you'd need a CDL to drive them. Enough is enough. Banish these awful vehicles to hell where they belong.
Toyota and Nissan sell pick ups that are just as big. Why leave those out of your crazy rant?

This means we have to completely eliminate front tinted windows.
There are so many illegal ones out there where you can't see the driver.
