I’m confused why you feel like there should have been parent input. This isn’t a PTA event. It’s not ANGP. It’s actually graduation held by the school and the county. Thinking you should have input is ridiculous.

There is some sort of rotation for days and times--one year your school may have the latest day and time graduation and the next year you may go to the front of the line with the first graduation at 9am. You get what you get--go out to an early dinner at 3:30/4 and get dessert after!

Is constitution hall used anymore? I thought they all switched to eagle bank. Even the outdoor ones.

Huh. I've never experienced any of the above at our kids' graduations. Ours were at DAR and were all very memorable. The kids haven't been "poorly behaved" (??) and elderly relatives have been thrilled to attend. Yours sounds truly miserable.

I'm also confused as to what kind of pageantry you want. The only time I'd say there's pageantry involved with graduating is when PhDs get hooded.

My son loves LEGOs and Chantilly has done absolutely NOTHING to ensure that LEGOs can be an important part of his graduation experience. Plus, his bedtime is at 6:30 and the ceremony is scheduled for 7:00 in the evening.

Time to bring back W. T. Woodson as Superintendent.
