This is just not true. Top team coaches especially at older age groups U-14+ are rock solid. And have the results to prove it.

Results do not prove it. They have strong 07 and 09 teams, but their 08 boys team is 12th/15, and 10 Boy team is 10th/15, both are bottom teams in DMV.

Arlington Soccer ECNL B07/06, 12-3-5 1st
Arlington Soccer ECNL B08, 6-11-3 12th
Arlington Soccer ECNL B09, 10-7-3 3rd
Arlington Soccer ECNL B10, 4-8-2 10th

There's a reason those 2 age groups are strong... their coaches.

For boys, MLSN is highest level. For girls, ECNL is highest level.

It’s MLSNext.

there are 2 tiers to MLS Next though - does Alexandria have tier 1 or tier 2?
Alex has MLSN and MLSN2.

If your proxy is league wins and losses fine- mine is college results and academy placements. A good coach develops kids ready to play at next level. Relative to other local teams Arlington is doing above average here. And certainly better than Alexandria.

I would stay away from Alexandria if its 2013 / 2012. The head coach is a narcissist.

2012 Alexandria MLS Next team qualified for competing in the MLS Next playoffs in June. Not too shabby.

I didn’t know there were playoffs at U13 and U14.

I don’t think there are. The first year for playoffs is U15

Go watch one of their games. I would never want to subject my kid to that type of coaching. The coach def. has his fav.

Right, don't kid yourself. Alexandria does not invest in coaching; this is known. Please do your research!

No one in this area, including Alexandria is loosing their MLSNext credentials. And only one (NVA) has been added locally.

For sure they will add tiers, Alexandria a strong candidate to lose the batch. GA could lose it again. Again, priorities, coaching and development is simple not here
