It’s the safest week of the year in D.C.

You’re welcome.

Who do we complain to about this? Genuinely asking. I do not want to complain to MPD, because I have no issues with MPD, or cops at all.

The boys are back in town! A "police motorcade" of cops from an entirely different state just went down Conn. Ave. with sirens and lights blaring at 10:30 at night.

This is back again today. No other parade comes for the entire week and has the number of motorcycles all blaring their sirens every 15 minutes all day long up and down CT ave, or cars racing at high speed, through red lights which is very dangerous. The police could still be honored and make small changes to not bully everyone else at the same time. A few examples - every motorcycle in the 30-40 bike honor guard doesn't need to simultaneously blare their siren the whole time, they are looping up and down conn ave every 15 minutes, they could select a few of them to do it which would provide notice but not be deafening to everyone - secret service doesn't do this and manage to keep the president safe, also no need for patrol cars racing up and down roads. Treating others with respect isn't an unfair request.

Imagine the posts here for Trump’s birthday parade.

The handicap parade also blocks traffic every year. Is it acceptable to complain about them? The idea is that they wish to be visible.

Like Rolling Thunder?

I don’t see a problem with this.

These state professionals come from all over the country. They join alongside federal police enforcement (You know the guys and gals who are in every agency). This congestion is normal for Washington DC. This particular group is easier to spot than some due to their uniforms.

A lot of people also feel anger to the annual right-to-lifers who congregate in large number in DC, as they hoist large signs and wearable slogans.

It’s part of living in DC! It’ll be over soon.

Literally, every 10 minutes for 6 hours, I had a cavalry of motorcycles with sirens blaring outside my window. It was truly horrible. Certainly did not make me think positively about the police.

Prefer unregistered ATVs and dirt bikes?

You do realize you can hate both, right?

+1

Just because I hate criminals doesn’t mean I have to love cops. I wish they’d just negate each other out.

This. Not fond of either, as they are both the same, just different gang symbols and uniforms.

Trump will user the police and national guard to confiscate the credit cards of every woman in America.

People! Have you even read plan 2025 ?!?

Put down the crack pipe.

no its true!

Plan 2025 has section about what they are doing to or going to do to women, that will strip women of basic rights: transferring financial assets from women to male guardians, ending workplace protections for women, introducing government monitoring of women’s financial transactions, and the phasing out of access to credit, loans, and property ownership for all unmarried women!

Assuming you are trolling? "project" 2025 was written by Democrats and D.C. insiders, this has been known for over a year now. It was a "diversionary tactic".

Would you say that to a police officer’s widow?

Why does the city allow this? I am not anti-cop but allowing police officers who have no jurisdictions here to turn on their sirens as if they're responding to emergencies here in DC (they're really just running red lights) and blocking off traffic for bike riding (as someone posted on Popville) seems to me to be an abuse of power.

I don't want to make this a blue lives matter vs. ACAB debate. Again, I am not anti-cop. I just don't know why the city allows this bad behavior.

Get use to it. This is the future. Cops and federal law enforcement are unaccountable to the people. They only answer to rich MAGA.

They must all be defunded.

They’re actually getting raises and new equipment. The funding is increasing.

What possibly could have driven such an insane decision?

This will probably make your head explode.

You sound very anti-cop. I hope you never need them. This is for one week the fact that you're so disturbed by this enough to start a post says a lot about you. "I'm not anti-cop," ok Jan.
