This website says that BASIS DC has 233 high school students (~58 students/grade). I counted 6 Ivies posted on IG (~10% of the grade). Unless there are 15 BASIS students heading to Ivies this year, I don’t know how you arrived at a quarter of the class.

The class is 42. 6 Ivy's on the site now, which is about 15 percent of the grade. One more coming, which is just over 15 percent.

A quarter is an exaggeration, but I also get it, bc places like Naval Academy and McGill and full scholarship to Harvey Mudd are arguably just as competitive.

Naval Academy and McGill are not nearly as competitive as the Ivies. This comes from someone who has kids who applied to both these options.
Now a full ride to Harvey Mudd is awesome.

If you have a student who can handle the coursework, and you want to stay in public school in DC, it's crazy not to consider BASIS.

Another complaint is that enrollment is only open at 5th grade through lottery. No incoming students beyond that grade with a strong student attrition in the following years.

I can also say that that student had superior rigor in their coursework, even for a school that puts a high premium on APs, and SAT scores to match. A few other facts worth noting. Another student who is headed to an “elite” school is going as a Questbridge Scholar. Another student headed to UMD is the recipient of a coveted Banneker Key full ride scholarship. And if you saw the list of schools that got turned down by some kids,often for financial reasons, you would have to give this BASIS class even more flowers.
