Boys side has lots of first gen and second gen Latino community, plus a TON of African and North African recent immigrant families. Ghana definitely represents!

Girls side has a growing number of Black and Asian girls. The reality is that the Latino community is not there yet when it comes to girls and soccer.

THIS! and if you don't see it then it's because you aren't part of the ethnically diverse plain and simple. it's tough when you are the minority.

Very diverse teams up and down the North Atlantic girls league. Maybe not they're all spoiled rich kids is what you are implying, but lots of ethnicities represented on almost every team.

Lol. I guess if you consider ‘Italian’ as diverse. That division is home base for white girls from the leafy suburbs of NY and Philly.

I don't know what to tell you. That's not the make up of the girls in my daughter's age group.

I think the reason your post struck a chord is literally the last game against Match-Fit there were parents cheering in Spanish/Korean/Chinese.

The majority of teams in ECNL are not diverse. This is not to call ECNL a racist organization. It’s just a reality that youth soccer in America is very expensive so the ethnic make up is less diverse.

Yeah a few teams may have more diversity, and maybe some teams have a minority or two on the team. But that’s not the norm.

This is not a controversial observation.

Yes, it's controversial, sorry. You have to be kidding me - North Atlantic conference is super diverse. Not sure why you'd be pushing this so hard unless some rich white girl stole your spot. Look at who these clubs promote on social and who are getting scholarships to top universities. I don't want to signal out specific girls, but you'll see great diversity at MFA/PDA/PF (yes PF!)/Delco/Bethesda

All that could be left are MLS Next Finals and ECNL Playoffs and Finals. And all of them are on different weekends...

I wonder where all the college scouts are?

Which tournaments?

You think that because your kid is MLS next that they are going to get recruited? There isn't much recruitment going on for boys in general.

Someone asked which tournaments and you think they are a MLS next parent?

The tournament in Richmond this weekend stops at U14. Older boys play in two weeks. There is not a single 2011 player being seriously recruited by colleges - no matter the league.

League Fees, Hotel Rooms, Gas, Flights, Restaurants, etc . I think we have spent more than 20k for one child to play ECNL soccer this year.

When will parents say enough is enough?
What a rip off!

What about Super Copa for 9 year olds?

My son and my daughters team are both very diverse, and overpriced.

If you are not a parent of an MLSNext player, you won’t like the answer.

You're saying they are all in North Carolina at the ECNL tourney?
