Pope Francis was a very special person and I don’t think any successor could match him in how he handled modern issues. Truly he was remarkable. It has been almost 15 years since the new pope commented publicly on LGBTQ matters - one can hope that Francis at least served to moderate him in this area.

Yes, I don’t think we will have another Pope Francis, but I’d like to think he paved the way for the better.

Fun fact: it is possible to be conservative (religiously or in the traditional sense of the word politically or both) AND anti-MAGA. Many of us manage this feat.
