A Catholic mother of 5 who did not impose her theology on the citizenry? Who went to Catholic school and raised her children in the church? Who received communion from the Pope?
Biden, no divorces, spiritually and personally opposed to abortion and evolved to being politically pro-choice? Also went to Catholic school and seriously considered entering the priesthood? Also raised his children in the church.
You are really reaching.
Vance is a FedSoc Catholic that doesn't participate meaningfully in Catholic life nor is he raising his children in the church. He is involved with political groups that are attempting to influence the Cardinals, something that JPII made excommunicable. That's one thing among many,
Biden broke up a marriage. Jill was married to the guy who owned the Stone Balloon in Newark.

He wasnt raised one and doesnt follow the Church's teaching.
He defends and apologizes for the Antichrist.
He deemed fit to try and lecture our Holy Father and then blow off criticism of the blasphemous mockery of his death.
Please excommunicate this man.

He would have had a few things to say about our current president, about cutting off foreign aid to children and letting them starve. He would have turned over a few tables at Maralago.

Bigot.
But what pp says: "Every guy I ever met who converted to Catholicism as an adult was mostly in it for the patriarchy and misogyny"
is true
I think in the case of Vance, he needed to adopt some Christian religion to be a credible MAGA spokesperson. Particularly since his wife and kids are Hindu.
Shhh. We aren’t supposed to say that part out loud.
Why not? It’s pretty obvious. I think we’re all just shrprised he picked Catholic. You can pick a Protestant religion and it’s much easier to blend it and do it your way because it’s so much more loosy goosy. Catholicism and established doctrine and practices so if you deviate, it’s more notable.

Vance? It's clear as day that he's been a vine looking for support all his life. He needs to feel part of something bigger than himself, and the Catholic Church is indeed a very powerful, long-lived, storied, somewhat mysterious, secretive and glitzy organization. He even had to build up to it. But I don't think he has a principled or God-fearing bone in his body, that man. I'd put Lindsay Graham in that category as well. Those two are deeply insecure people who due to their childhood upbringings, were born to be attracted to the schoolyard bullies. Their jobs in life are Attack Dog and Greek Chorus. They're not leaders.
Vance enlisted in the USMC straight out of high school in the middle of the GWOT and at the beginning of OIF. That singular act alone exceeds anything Biden, Pelosi, Romney or Pence have done. That’s before we even get into the actual character of the four role models you reference.
Really? Working in public affairs / media relations and getting educational benefits that changed the trajectory of his life is a “singular act” that exceeds “anything” that several lifelong public servants have done? Lol Interesting values here. It’s probably wise not to bring up “actual character”. When I watched Vance attack Zelenskyy for the benefit of TASS and other media, I saw everything I needed to know.
He didn’t know what his MOS would be when he ENLISTED (not commissioned). For all he knew at the time of his enlistment, he was heading for the infantry. His ASVAB score put him on a different trajectory but he had no idea where he was heading when he entered service. Yes, volunteering to risk your life in defense of the country as an enlisted man or woman is far better than anything any of those other four clowns did. Additionally, MCRD is no joke.
