Can I ask any Gold 2 families - how large is your practice group? If not a lot of TY Gold AM swimmers move to Gold 1, and the majority of MU Gold 2 move to TY, that practice is going to be so large. As it is, TY kids are losing 15 minutes a day of their practice (its going down to 1:45 from 2:00 M-F). based on th e-mail I've seen of the new schedule. I guess it's made up in the cheaper dues.

If you just use logic, a truly stellar Gold1 coach would never get shuttled to a different site to be a Gold2 coach, and if there are enough kids to fund two Gold groups they would do it for the money.
Except there are rumblings that Gemmell will step down in the near future. He currently coaches Gold 1 and Gold 2 at GP. Jeremey will be coaching Gold 2. Yes, it seems like a step down, but maybe it's not. They need someone in place to make that transition when the time comes.

Nothing but I really hope they provide a schedule soon so parents can make an informed decision. We have a Gold 1 swimmer and the rumor is MU Gold 1 practices will be moving to the afternoon which is really concerning for commute, work and HS reasons.
They should just let both sites have their own Gold 1 and Gold 2 practice groups instead of MU having to give up a group to financially bail out Tysons
By swapping out a full Gold AM group for a Gold 2 group that charges $500 less per swimmer? Yep, that’ll certainly bail Tysons out of whatever imaginary financial trouble it’s in.
No it’s not. Tyson’s fee has always been less than MU. There is no difference. It is because Tyson PM, which is Tyson’s equivalent to Gold 1 has been practicing at MU for the last 2 years. They combined with MU Gold 1 this year so in order for Tyson’s to have a pipeline, they had to go to MU. This is nothing new. Gold AM was always the second level Gold group at Tysons - just named differently.
Have you looked at the 2024-2025 fees?

Yes, and I don’t see how that supports your argument. The majority of Tysons Gold AM is moving to Gold 2 which costs LESS then they paid as Gold AM. Not sure how having the majority pay less next year indicates financial trouble.
MU Gold 2 - 5,250 vs Gold AM 5,800 (most moving into Gold 2)
