This. I arrived early to a celebrity event and ignored as should have been case bc was not part of that world. When my “date” arrived and people saw who I was with, suddenly everyone wanted to say hello and meet me in hopes would get them some pull for their next job. It’s a definitely a tough business when have to network for jobs so often if haven’t landed that rare 10 season tv show.

Paul Newman was an unbelievably good and nice man.

Genuine, looked people in the eye, asked their name.
She was so famous and so revered that she could have been a diva, but instead was like a loving grandmother who loved the people around her.
I met her too when I was younger. She kept referring to me as "sweetie." I thought she was very nice.

Anonymous wrote:Brian Regan. The comic. Several years ago my friend's sister lost her husband tragically young leaving 3 young kids. The oldest son was a huge Brian Regan fan and used to listen to Brian Regan CDs with his dad. Brian was coming to town and my friend got a special waver to allow for his nephew to go to the comedy club even though he was about 13 at the time. When the show as over - and Brian was like always awesome - the club's manager came over and said that Brian had heard about the situation and wanted to meet everyone backstage. We all went backstage where we saw Brian sitting at a dingy table alone eating a Subway sandwich. "Welcome to the glitz and glamor of Hollywood!" he boomed as he stood up and shook everyone's hand. He was super nice to everyone and gave my friend's nephew special attention. Total class act.
