This is what I do. Or I drink mineral water with fresh fruit or a Trader Joe’s flavored drink. No calories, no sugar in the fresh stuff. Diet Coke is when I also need the caffeine.

Just do what works for you, OP. I drink a Mexican Coke pretty often during afternoons while it’s high allergy season. Only thing that both helps my headaches and fatigue while not making me hungry.

If I need the burn and carbonation I quickly down a Polar Seltzer water. I find them to have the most bite.

I love the burn of a well carbonated fountain Diet Coke. I know it's bad for me, but I'm not a whisky drinker, so Diet Coke is where I go for the burn.
