You're ridiculous for repeating this "not worth $90k" for any school that isn't T20. Sure, if you don't have the money, then you can't buy what they're offering. If it requires you to dip into savings or affects your lifestyle, you may choose not to buy what they're offering. But 80,000 applicants per year like it enough to explore their options. But the "absurdity" is you pretending that everyone shares your economic outlook for every T50 private school.

Not everyone pays $90k.

The DCUMers paying $50k for private high schools can afford BU tuition with a "merit" aid coupon.

Average GPA for those accepted is 4.0.

It's an urban campus, which is self-selecting. Close to 80,000 apply annually, so they are perfectly fine with the option.

There is campus.
Many high-caliber students.
Prestige & price are subjective.

They are traditionally best known for their Communications & Journalism, but their majors are well-balanced overall.
These days, they are especially well known for Biomedical Engineering (BME), and they are a major private research university.

Just because you don't know about it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
