So, at what age do you think humans should start being read to, talked to, and socialized with peers?

I saw this as a SAHM too.
Nannies pushing snacks or screen on the child in stroller because it is easier than carrying or chasing after them. They are always chattering away with each other while doing their best to avoid physical exertion on behalf of a child. Why anyone would hire these people is beyond me.

This is because they hire random women accepting lower wages. Those women are not really nannies, they are just passing time of the day while making some income. Parents prefer to live in denial sometimes

+1
I hired a professional nanny and live in a relatively dense area. I have tone of SAHM friends and they would always comment on how wonderful my nanny was. We also had a strict no phone, except for emergencies written into the contract.

A little sunlight helps prevent rickets.

Agree.

I would be livid - even more so if this was my child! 😡
But even if it were someone else’s child I would still be pissed off!!

This Nanny needs to be reported to her employers for neglect of her charge stat!!

A 2 year old on a high 70s day that felt warm? Not thrilled. A 3 month old in the 90s? Fire immediately.

12 month old on a high 70s day that was hot in direct sun. What should I do or say?

Is the nanny your employee or do you know the parents and saw it? If the latter, I would want to be told, but in a way that makes it clear the person telling me will understand that I get to do what I want with the information.

My employee. She sent me a video of her doing this. (The video was from her perspective of her in the shade, and showed the baby in the stroller in the line.) DH says to give her the benefit of the doubt and that maybe she just sent me the video to show that there was a line.

Quit your job and take care of your own kid. I would never expect anyone to stand in sun for 15 minutes and you don't know how long your child was in the sun. My rep complaining and you will be looking for a new nanny.

This exactly.
You’re going to make yourself and any nanny crazy with this nonsense. If you are this high stress, that should confirm that you are already convinced no one can do that job as thoughtfully as you would (and you’re right!—you’re the child’s mother!), so just do the job the exact right way you want it done yourself.
