About once or twice a month. I buy the DoorDash gift card at Costco ($100 worth of DoorDash for $80) and load it on my account, where I also have DashPass through my credit card. So with the two discounts combined, I'm paying close to the regular prices I'd pay at the restaurant.

I used to door dash all the time. 3-4 times a week. Starting this year, it’s down to maybe once a week (some weeks it is 0). I have more time to drive out and pick up food but we have been enjoying cooking more at home.

I meal plan and have my groceries delivered fresh every other day. I prefer it this way.

Very rarely - soup delivery when sick as PPs mentioned, and twice for kid birthday parties. We get takeout fairly often that we pick up on the way home from a sports practice or other evening commitment - that’s usually when it’s late enough that I need to get the kids in bed in fairly short order.

The only times I've done it over the past several years have been when I was sick and wanted soup and my DH was out of town so couldn't go get it. I think it's been like twice.

I'm simply not paying for that. I also don't like eating restaurant food 30 mins or more after it is out of the kitchen -- it's paying a whole lot more for food that isn't going to be as good. Nope. Not doing it.

I think we've ordered delivery twice this year so far? As everyone else said, the fees are wild. A couple of times, I've entered an order, holding back on a few things I might have liked, to keep the total down, mentally accepted that it was going to cost more than I usually spend on a meal, and then closed the app when I hit the checkout page and saw that tax and fees and tip added 30-50% to the already high price.

So it's very rare, and only when the fridge is empty and we're at the end of our tethers for time/ energy/ willpower. But then, we didn't have pandemic habits to adjust. We leaned into meal planning and cooking during covid and it just became habit.

I was shocked at how much I was spending on food delivery during Covid! I was ordering a few times a week, and I averaged it out at $200/wk. that’s crazy! In the past year I’ve maybe ordered 3x

Never. The fees are insane, I can't stomach it.

I do eat at neighborhood places fairly often --- a few times a week. So I'm not stingy, I just don't want to give Uber eats or door dash my money.

Spending your money wisely is not stingy. Neither is cooking at home.

3-4 times a week for dinner.

Never order delivery now. Takes too long and costs too much.
