You do you, but you would be absolutely shocked how many extremely productive people use THC during the day. I'm talking senior vice presidents of major organizations, big law partners, doctors, etc.
Most people would be surprised how many functional alcoholics there are too. This thread isn't about some VP popping a gummy at lunchtime. This is about people smoking a joint on the sidewalk, waiting at a crowded bus stop, while driving their car, etc.

Caffeine, booze, and nicotine, all in strict moderation, are the holy trinity of drugs. Everything else is 🗑️.

Seriously? Are these alcohol and tobacco industry bots? Nicotine and alcohol are both extremely addictive, making it difficult or impossible for many people with certain genes to enjoy them "in moderation." It's fine to point out that people ignored the real problems associated with marijuana usage, but that doesn't make smoking or drinking any better for you. They are terrible and continue to kill and impair orders of magnitude more people than marijuana.
I mean, if my cousin had smoked a bunch of pot instead of abusing alcohol, he probably wouldn’t have killed his liver by his 30s. If that kid from my dorm had eaten a bunch of edibles rather than attempting 21 shots (yes, he was dumb), he wouldn't have died either.
I don't drink or smoke myself (losing a cousin to substance abuse will do that to you) but the hand wringing over Marijuana when we sell much more physically harmful substances in the grocery store just baffles me.

It’s not legal to drive while high. It’s also not legal to smoke weed in public. But DC doesn’t enforce any of these laws because it’s DC.
Serious question, how do you prove someone is driving high? Unless you see them take a hit of marijuana behind the wheel. Smelling it over a few people at dinner or finding in the car while they’re driving, it can’t be proven not like BAC or a breathalyzer.
I have the same question - is there any way to test “levels” in a person at a particular point in time?
