I agree. She doesn't look great - are they doing it on purpose? I'm surprised they cast her. +1 to the PP who said she's not believable in her role.

The latest episode gets into it a bit and it makes more sense - I think they are doing it on purpose. She’s depressed. I don’t get why her ex and her kids aren’t more angry at her though.

She is a selfish and clueless princess.
Same - I love her and Hamm and thought the show would be them together, and I can’t hope for them to get back together because she’s such a dumbass. Like babe, of course you’re the villain like Paul, you f*cked your husband’s best friend! Especially for a guidance counselor, she totally lacks self awareness which is annoying. It doesn’t help that I actually have friends where this was exactly why they divorced (the husband was the one who was with the best friend though.)
Anyone else think he’s going to start blackmailing people? The wife who was cheating with her daughter’s boyfriend (ick) in particular?
That is an interesting idea, I hadn't thought of that. I think he's clearly going to be working with Lou, but maybe he will do some things on his own. The scene with the mom and her daughter's boyfriend was nauseating, at least our antihero looked repelled by that too.

That’s definitely a better way to put it. He’s incredibly sweet with his sister.
I feel like he is an unlikely actual hero: did everything to provide for his family, incredibly kind and understanding and forgiving of his ex wife despite the cheating, fantastic brother, and now he is stealing from the rich, crap they won’t even miss.

The fact that the basketball player is with Amanda Peet’s character doesn’t bother me. Not every relationship is a Hollywood trope. It’s only been two years. He could very well go back to banging 30 year olds six months from now but but it doesn’t defy reality that some successful men date age appropriately sometimes.

And gaining some weight (the horror!!) would help her face
Unless she doesn't want to. Maybe her weight is where she wants it. But being so thin is a struggle, it's just not worth it, to have the result be to look and age like that.
