OP - Met my husband while working in DC after graduating from at GWU's weekly mass. There was a mixed group attending of graduate students, single professionals and a few married couples with very young children. A couple of ellows actually ran an Irish bar! These in addition to undergrads. However, this group had a loose social group.
Today I would check out Holy Trinity in Georgetown!

I have since left the area, but I used to receive the Arlington Catholic Herald in the mail every month. They always had a blurb for some older singles social group in there.

Also, Catholic Match is a sausage fest for the most part and a bunch of profiles of women in the Phillipines looking to get a spouse visa so the odds are heavily in your favor.

OP, here, and I've recently learned that St. Charles in Arlington has a 35+ singles ministry. I'm a mid-50s widow. Next event is mid-June, and I'm wondering whether to RSVP. I have found that 55+ usually means 80; I have no idea what 35+ actually means. Anyone with knowledge of this ministry?

The Catholics are so in Maryland. Men might be more likely to be at the Latin mass.

I’m a Catholic woman in my late 40s. I’ve been married for 16 years and with my husband for 19, so it’s been a long time since I’ve dated. And my parish in the suburbs has mostly families or much older couples. When I was single and lived in the city, though, I remember seeing information about Theology on Tap in my parish bulletin. I never attended one but it was a meet up for Catholic singles - appetizers and drinks followed by some type of a speaker I think. It definitely was focused on young adults - 21 to maybe 40. But, I wonder if there might be something similar for older adults. You could try reaching out to that group to ask. There might also be a meet up group for widowed Catholics or you could try volunteering with Catholic Charities.

Go to churhc in an area that tends to have single people, like DuPont Circle.

Also St Barts has a "rock music" mass at 8pm Sundays, they're in Bethesda and it draws a younger crowd (younger.. for church I mean).

There's also a few younger priests who have bands that perform at a few bars in the area. If you check CUA (Catholic Univ) website, you may find the details there. Obviously the priests aren't eligible, but it draws the right crowd.

Enroll your kids at Mater Dei or Gtown prep and flirt with the coaches or parents. Or sign your kid up for sports in North Bethesda.

Do you live near a knights of Columbus chapter? If so, does it have a bar and events? The knights are catholic. I occasionally hit the bar at the one near my house because several friends are members and I know the bartender from his previous job. Sometimes there are guys there watching sports.
