Joking about direct deposits or it is that what the financial oversight line was about?
Nobody knows what that was about. 2 of the 3 guys who just took over the club have been on the board for 5 or more years. All of a sudden they're concerned with the club financials?
Right. Hard to believe they wouldn’t have knowledge of the agreements that were made literally a year ago. And it seems they are letting go of the ED, TD and DOC with no plan.
No plan, no true leadership, just 3 dad's who have kids in the club (2 of them rec parents, not travel) who have no knowledge of how to run a soccer program.....running things. No coaching slate, no coaches for ~12 teams playing this Spring and no tryouts scheduled.

Anonymous wrote:This is one of the main problems w/ youth soccer. You have a non-profit led by a board of people who know nothing making decisions that implode clubs. GFR will become as irrelevant as Herndon has become.

Anonymous wrote:Responding to the comment about YS being irrelevant due to transfer portal. Yes, college coaches would prefer a proven college player to an unproven recruit out of high school but make no mistake that most college coaches will place a call to a respected and trusted youth soccer coach before signing a transfer. NM is one of those coaches. NM probably has one of the best track-records of placing kids than anyone in DMV. As an objective observer, only CW and the coach at FCV is on the same level. Maybe you can include the VDA TD.
These actions by GFR is basically a vote for irrelevance for the club. They are basically on a path to glorified rec soccer.
