Yes to these-most already mentioned:

-Yes to stopping purchasing licenses for useless programs like the evil ST Math-waste!
-Trim Gatehouse
-The free tutoring is a bust and only should be available to those below a certain income.
-Trim Superintendent salary
-No instructional coaches
-Contractors only for ST, OT, PT.
-Streamline transportation. If a school offers AP, no need to bus anyone elsewhere. I agree boundary changes should take into consideration efficient bussing
-Stop paying consultants and doing studies.

What is the best thing for the minority groups? Education. Period. What is the best thing for majority groups? Education.

We do not need "Pride Days" or "Transgender visibility" days. We just need for kids to treat each other with respect. And, you do not need a special staff for that.

According to this article, for this fiscal year 2025, the chief equity office cost $5,760,000.

I'm not sure if that figure would include payments to speakers or training consultants.

I would cut Karl Frisch's salary to $5 because that's about the value he adds as School Board chair.

And then, maybe, if he were gone, they'd come to their senses and realize they shouldn't be wasting over $85 million on Dunn Loring ES, which would be an even bigger cost savings for FCPS that could be put to better use.

BRAC is the closest thing to DOGE that FCPS has ever undertaken. The “one off” boundary changes are expensive and incredibly inefficient, costing up to several hundred thousand dollars each, which is large part of the reason why they aren’t common. One BRAC analysis for 2x to 4x cost that covers every school in FCPS? That is incredibly, incredibly efficient by comparison.


This is pretty stupid. You're comparing the costs of a one-off boundary study to the costs of a comprehensive boundary study without taking into account all the expenses FCPS would incur if it actually made the boundary changes the BRAC will eventually be asked to endorse. You need an incredibly sturdy pair of blinders to think so narrowly.
